Snoozle: The robotic alarm clock game

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Imagine Smacking the snooze button 50 Times and waking up in shock...I’m late! We have all been there. Almost 60% of teens and children hit the snooze button every day. To prevent this from happening we are introducing Snoozle, the latest alarm clock gadget that makes waking up fun. The Snoozle* is a small sphere-shaped robotic alarm clock that turns waking up into a game. When your alarm sounds the snoozle is programmed to zoom around your room while it flashes and makes noises. Your goal is to wake up, catch your Snoozle, and shake it as fast as possible. The quicker you find it and shake it the more points you receive. Snoozle links to an app which tracks your progress and points. A cool feature found in the app is you can connect with your friends and compete to see who can gain the most points. Kids will love to wake up and catch their snoozle and parents never have to drag their kids out of bed ever again!

Parents set a time, speed the Snoozle moves at, and the volume of the alarm found on the Snoozle. Parents wouldn’t have to spend 10-20 minutes each morning trying to wake up their son/daughter (s). Also, if you reach a certain amount of points you can unlock features for your Snoozle. For example, Flashing lights which would make finding your Snoozle easier than just following the sound. The Snoozle is a ball-shaped mini robot similar the Sphero.

Snoozle is a new gadget that will make waking up as easy as 1,2,3. Not only does it get you up in the morning, but it is fun! Our snoozle will change your life forever.

Our goal is to produce a working consumer version of the Snoozle. We have created a prototype and need help in creating a final product. We will reach out to professionals in the field of robotics and engineering. This real world project gave us an authentic STEAM experience. We learned a great deal about design thinking, teamwork, marketing, and engineering.
