Raijin- SustainaCycle

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Our solution stems from the kinetic energy produced by riding a bike is free and clean! This solution is the first ever classification of bicycle we termed a “SustainaCycle called: Raijin! The Raijin will use the rotation of the wheels to charge a phone or battery pack. The gears in the motor rotate to produce a current form an electromagnet to generate power which would which be transmitted directly into a phone or a battery pack. There will also be solar panels on the Raijin on the rear fender which will be utilized to provide extra electricity while you are not riding your bike.

We plan on producing a working prototype that is capable of charging a standard cell phone through kinetic energy produced from riding the Raijin sustainacyle along with the solar panels on the bike. This would be our “Alpha” model of the Raijin because it would our first prototype solutions. We have already begun to keep an “Engineering Portfolio” of our progress thus far and will continue to use the portfolio throughout the fabrication of the prototype.
